Lost shoe (late fifties)

Created by Tim Watkins 15 years ago
As we were traveling on vacation around '57 or '58 (I was about 3 years old and Mike was about 6)I threw one of my shoes out the car window. Who knows why. Anyway, Mike ratted me out and told Mom what I had done; but it was too late ... the shoe couldn't be retrieved. I was properly "scolded" and the trip continued. At some point Mike threw out the other shoe and was caught in the act. As he was was about to be "scolded" he looked at Mom and said "But Momma, he don't need just one!!!" Pretty wise for one so young.
